From digital billboards in Times Square to the new twenty-dollar bill in your wallet, New York City and life are saturated with graphic design; it is the visual language of everyday life. This course will help you to investigate and analyze two-dimensional design. By solving graphic design problems and exploring the fundamentals of the two-dimensional design process, you will learn about typography, composition, and information organization. The majority of the course will focus on traditional techniques, but students will also examine how ideas are translated digitally and the pervasive role of technology in the field
