July 3-July 28
College/Adult PNPA 0351 Section A
Pre-College PNPA 0308 Section A
Classes meet outdoors at locations of historic and cultural significance.
Drawing will be the primary medium studied, with painting being the main vehicle
in understanding color interaction. Using the city as a starting point,
students utilize the landscape of Paris as a way to create and solve visual problems.
Students examine the relationships between technical skills, conceptual ideas, and the creative decisions that they make. Museum visits and discussions examine art and design history. This course is recommended for students who are building a portfolio, as well as those interested in developing observational drawing and painting skills.
