Product design is concerned with the development of functional domestic and consumer products that respond to new technologies and materials. This course is designed to provide an introductory investigation into product design. The class will engage in concepts, research, and prototyping. Through short exercises and projects, students will design a variety of products for use in domestic environments. Pin-ups, desk critique, and industry guests, will be utilized to help students develop and understand some of the goals and methodologies of product design.
