PRE-ENROLLMENT PROGRAM

SUMMER PROGRAMS  NEW YORK  COURSES

Courses

Pre-College Level

For high school students entering their junior or senior year, or for recent high school graduates. Applicants must be age 16 or older by June 28, 2010, the start of the program, with no exceptions.

This immersion in the college experience introduces high school students to the art and design college environment.

Note: Students will develop portfolio work for the college admissions process in all studio courses.

College and Adult Level

For college and adult applicants who have completed at least one year of college, or are 19 years of age or older by June 28, 2010.

Many college and adult level students enroll in the program to gain intensive exposure to the selected design discipline helpful in making decisions regarding academic and professional goals or to complement full-time degree programs. Others enroll to build the skills and portfolio necessary to gain acceptance to graduate programs.

Session I is for college and adult participants only; during Section II, pre-college students are also on campus and a limited number of courses combine levels.

Visit Parsons Summer Intensive Studies list of courses and course descriptions.

College Credit

All students in the pre-college and college/adult levels in New York earn four college credits upon successful completion of the program.

Participants should consult an academic advisor at their home institution for further details regarding approval, transfer, and fulfillment of graduation requirements.
