Matthew Robb Associate Chair Assistant Professor Bio: Philosopher and academic. Lecturer (“Topics in Environmental Ethics”, “The Religious Dimension in Heidegger’s Thought”, “Introduction to Modern Moral Philosophy”, “Introduction to Taoist Thought” - Adult Education) Unitarian Church of All Souls, NYC. Special interest in issues connected to technology, both philosophical (demarcating nature from artifice, technical from scientific knowledge; question of “technological determinism”) and practical (developing principles for the safe, equitable, and humane deployment of emerging bio- and nano-technologies). Also works as freelance writing coach. Previously: Teaching Fellow at Eugene Lang College in Philosophy. Previous teaching experience also includes Hunter College (Philosophy Department), and Thesis Advisor (Eugene Lang College), and English Language instructor (Lemond Language Consulting). Courses Business Ethics Through readings in classic and contemporary ethical literature and through case studies of real ethical dilemmas, this course examines the moral considerations that students may encounter in management situations, business, and creative pursuits.
