Students in the architectural design program develop their spatial and visual abilities using drawings, models, and a range of digital media. Projects range in scale from furniture design to urban planning. The program is organized around the design studio, a large open loft equipped with wireless digital capacity, a computer printing/plotting lab, materials library, and fully equipped model shop. Completion of the BFA program prepares students for graduate study in architecture, exhibition design, theater design, interior architecture, urban planning, environmental art, landscape architecture, and virtual space production. A Pre-Architecture program is also available. Our journal, Scapes, focuses on global, metropolitan, and departmental perspectives on architecture.
