Certificate Program Requirements

Complete information regarding all aspects of the Certificate Program are found in this section.

Course Requirements

Courses are listed in a recommended order. You must register officially as a Certificate Student in order to begin completing Certificate Requirements (this may only be done by fax or in-person). Certificate Requirements and electives may not be available every semester. Parsons reserves the right to adjust the Certificate Requirements and make appropriate substitutions when necessary.

Continuing Certificate Students

You may find that Certificate requirements have changed since your last registration. In this case, you may choose to follow either the previously published requirements or to meet the new requirements. If a program is discontinued, you may continue to take classes toward completion of your Certificate, while making substitutions with the approval of the Continuing Education Department.

Basic Core Courses

The Basic Core Class combines two or three courses, which are Certificate requirements, into one intensive class. Core classes are offered only in the Fall and in the Spring. Not all Certificates offer Basic Core equivalents. Note: Color Theory class is listed in the Fine Art and Foundation section of the catalog.
